Projects can be executed in any of HyperWorks, Ansys, SolidWorks, NX, Catia, ProEngineer or Nastran. Knowledge of any particular software is not essential before the project is commenced. By the end of the project, the student can expect to have an "industry-level" knowledge of the relevant areas of the chosen software.

Note that the mechanics involved may be non-linear in some cases and may involve advanced materials. 3D Modeling is a prerequisite for most projects, so is not mentioned separately.
